How to Play - Round 2

Welcome to Round 2 of The Compound Word Project! If you've played before, you know the drill, and if this is your first time, greetings - it's lovely to have you.

The rules are straightforward:

  • During the next fortnight, 10 diptychs will be posted on this blog - each will represent a compound word.

  • Take a look and guess the solution to each one (but please, don't be tempted to post your answer in the comments section - just note it down privately).

  • When you have seen all ten, drop an email with one answer for each diptych to me {alisonhudson03@hotmail.com} - I will let you know how many you got correct. Your first submission is the only one I can accept - no second chances!

  • I will publish the correct answers on the blog once the deadline for submitting guesses has passed.

Really hoping you enjoy the chance to join in. Please do feel free to spread the word about the game. Also, there are links to all of the Round 2 photographers in the sidebar if you'd like to pay them a visit.

Ready for a trial run? Have a go at this diptych:

Did you guess right? Though don't get over-confident - they aren't all straightforward...

Bonne chance!
